Márcio Pontes is a Brazilian artist who lives and works between Amsterdam and São Paulo. Influenced by Brazil’s Modernist and Concrete Art movements, and shaped by a background in graphic design, his practice centers on an ongoing exploration of geometry, line, and color. 

Through the combination of fine art printing and meticulous handmade techniques, Márcio creates works that investigate optical precision, rhythm, and balance. His compositions play with geometric structures and chromatic relationships, resulting in pieces that shift subtly with light and perspective. 

Each artwork is produced using a hybrid process of digital printing and handcrafted finishes on crystal acrylic and fine art papers. Positioned at the intersection of art and design, his work brings a contemporary sensibility to interior spaces, inviting joy, curiosity, and quiet contemplation.
